The young cabaret/opera ensemble Kurt Weill Factory melts opera and 1920s /30s cabaret into one spectacularly unique Cabaret Show.
The main members of the ensemble are German mezzo-soprano Helene Lang and Danish tenor Valdemar Villadsen, both soloists with international careers. They are accompanied by either a classical pianist, a jazz pianist or an accordionist, depending on the character of the show.
Though based in Berlin, Kurt Weill Factory has performed its well-received cabaret shows at several prestigious venues throughout Germany and Denmark, yet they also enjoy performing their shows at nightclubs and unconventional pop-up venues.
“Kurt Weill Factory is an awesome experience both musically as well as in interpretation. They manage to keep the audience captivated with Kurt Weill and Brecht songs, opera arias, Danish chansons or operetta numbers. Their charisma and acting are outstanding. And one senses their strong commitment, passion and skilfulness in every style and genre they engage in, which gives the audience a very musical and magical experience.”
